The scientific and production company “DYNAMICS” — the developer and the manufacturer of the modern testing equipment RETOM — has started the series production of a new generation testing system RELAY-TOMOGRAPH-51 based on RETOM-51 device.

If compared with the previous RELAY-TOMOGRAPH-41M testing system, this new one is remarkable for its improved reliability, technical performance and, what is most important, for the possibility of working in the Windows environment.

A new testing system RELAY-TOMOGRAPH-51 is, actually, a powerful handy Windows-operating PC. Nowadays, this is an utmost important thing for technical specialists.

Main advantages

The testing system RELAY-TOMOGRAPH-51 provides the following advantages, if compared with the testing system RELAY-TOMOGRAPH-41M:

1. Windows-operating device
• a powerful microcomputer included into RETOM-51 provides operation under Windows; now the device is able to operate together with any PC with Windows 95/98/ME/XP, etc. installed
• user-friendly and well-familiar Windows interface
• almost incomparable level of user-implemented device improvement: the user can receive an updated program version via the net, download it into the host PC and, thus, obtain an updated device; thus, as for its flexibility and adaptation to technical conditions the device appears to be everlasting
• testing protocols are composed with the help of standard Windows facilities
• parallel operation of several RETOM-51 devices under one host PC control
• unlimited abilities of full automation available.
2. Improved reliability
• new circuitry of RETOM-51 has been developed with consideration of a 10-year maintenance experience
• extended fault monitoring
• improved reliability of voltage channels due to powerful output relay contacts in the voltage circuit

• improved current and voltage measuring accuracy due to increased number of AD converter stages and, consequentially, an ideal form of current and voltage curves obtained
• improved frequency and phase angle measuring accuracy due to double increased number of samplings (up to 200) within the period
• switching within the output current range 2A <-> 20 A is now performed automatically
• new circuitry of common binary inputs with a possibility of increasing their number
• the new device is equipped with a full-scale highly accurate disturbance recorder
• the open control architecture of RETOM-51 ensures quick and simple development of individual testing programs
• wide range of accessories.

The testing system RELAY-TOMOGRAPH-51 operates under control of an IBM Pentium II or higher PC and includes the following:
